The Punta Corna Project is a historic high-grade cobalt mine with additional nickel, copper, and silver mineralisation, located within the EU. As a former underground mining operation, it benefits from close proximity to existing transport infrastructure, a hydroelectric facility, and nearby gigafactories, making it strategically positioned to support Europe’s growing demand for critical minerals.

With a strong focus on traceability and security of supply, the project has the potential to become a EU-based cobalt source. The project also has the broad support of municipal, regional, and national stakeholders and a supportive regulatory environment. 

Objectives

The next potential phase at Punta Corna, if advanced, would include field and airborne reconnaissance, as well as a drill campaign, which has already been authorised by regulators.
